How much does MAHE welding equipment cost at VES-TECH Swiss?
All MAHE equipment at VES-TECH Swiss is offered at a price on request. Each system is configured according to material, thickness, air or water cooling, torch length and accessories. You will usually receive a written quotation within one working day, including service in Switzerland and warranty handling.
Which welding process do I need for aluminium?
MIG pulse or double pulse with a suitable wire/gas characteristic and AC/DC TIG are possible choices for aluminium. Selection depends on thickness, joint access, surface finish and production speed. Omega AX and HyperTIG AX are AC/DC examples; HyperMIG X is a MIG/MAG range. The specific equipment and a trial on the component determine the appropriate program.
What is the difference between DC TIG and AC/DC TIG?
DC TIG uses direct current and is suitable for steel, stainless steel, copper and titanium. AC/DC TIG can also use alternating current. Its electrode-positive phase provides oxide cleaning for typical aluminium welding applications. AC/DC equipment therefore covers more applications, while DC equipment is generally the more economical choice.
How does electrolytic weld cleaning work?
A MAHE cleaner electrochemically removes heat tint from stainless steel welds using a carbon brush wetted with electrolyte. The process acts locally on the surface. R1 and RP1 are used for cleaning, P1 for polishing and M1 for marking. N1 is used for subsequent neutralisation. Select the product suited to the equipment and task according to the manufacturer’s instructions and safety data sheet.
Which thicknesses can a MAHE Theta plasma cutter cut?
The Theta range covers severance cutting from approximately 15 mm to 80 mm: Theta 40 for lighter workshop work on a 230 V supply, Theta 60 and Theta 120 for industrial use with HSC technology, and Theta 180 as the most powerful model. Theta 60 AUT and Theta 120 AUT have automation interfaces for CNC systems.
Does VES-TECH Swiss offer service and repairs in Switzerland?
Yes. The workshop in Herisau AR, at our partner company Schweisstechnik Scherrer AG, handles diagnostics, repairs, calibration and automation for the MAHE range. You speak directly to the technician who also works on the electronics, available on +41 76 710 91 39.
What does EN 1090 mean, and which documentation does VES-TECH supply?
The EN 1090 series concerns the execution of steel and aluminium structures. Equipment documentation depends on the specific model: the MAHE declaration dated 30 January 2016 available here lists C-MIG, Delta digital, Kappa, Beta digital, Omega and HyperTIG. We clarify the appropriate manufacturer documents and calibration reports for your equipment. These documents do not replace certification of your fabrication business.
How quickly will I receive a quotation?
Usually within one working day. You can assemble a package of several machines in the enquiry list and send a combined request. The more precisely you describe the material, thickness and operating location, the more specific the quotation can be.
Does VES-TECH Swiss deliver throughout Switzerland?
VES-TECH Swiss handles enquiries from Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Delivery location, timing and collection are agreed for each order. Equipment handover and collection take place at the workshop at St. Gallerstrasse 49, 9100 Herisau (Appenzell Ausserrhoden); the registered and billing address is in Bronschhofen SG. This website is available in German, French, Italian, English and Spanish; personal advice is provided in German, Czech and English.
What are MAHE MIS welding and HyperPuls?
MIS is a controlled MIG/MAG arc for low-spatter operation. HyperPuls is a MAHE pulse function for productive welding tasks; double pulse adds a slower power rhythm affecting pool movement and the weld ripple pattern. Cold, Root, Force and UP functions have different priorities. Available functions depend on the equipment, panel and characteristic.
Does VES-TECH Swiss also sell used welding systems?
Yes. The used equipment section includes refurbished systems, including SAF-FRO PlasmaFix 51, Oerlikon PlasmaFix P+T and Oerlikon PlasmaFix 50 S microplasma systems. Each system is inspected before handover. Viewing at the partner workshop in Herisau is possible by appointment. Prices on request.
What is microplasma welding, and which equipment is available?
Microplasma is plasma welding for very thin materials from approximately 0.05 mm. The arc is constricted in a cooled nozzle and remains stable at a fraction of an ampere. VES-TECH offers MAHE PlasmaTIG as new equipment. Refurbished used systems in the range include SAF-FRO PlasmaFix 51, Oerlikon PlasmaFix P+T and Oerlikon PlasmaFix 50 S.
