What happens in the workshop

We open the equipment, test it under load and systematically isolate the fault. Depending on the findings, we check the power supply, power electronics, controls, wire feeder, cooling system or torch. We then discuss which repair makes sense.

Diagnostics also cover the electronics. A faulty assembly does not automatically mean that the entire machine must be replaced.

Equipment we service

The complete MAHE range: MIG/MAG, TIG and MMA welding equipment, Plasma TIG, Theta plasma cutters, HyperCleaner cleaning systems, cutting tables and associated accessories. We clarify the availability and procurement route for suitable spare parts with the supplier in each case.

Please bring the equipment as it is used, including the torch, hose assembly and work return cable. Torches, cables and connections can also cause a fault.

The process

• Describe the fault by telephone or in writing: what happens, when does it occur and at which settings?
• Bring or send the equipment to the Herisau workshop by prior arrangement.
• We explain the findings. You then decide whether to proceed with the repair.

For warranty cases, we remain your contact and clarify the procedure with the supplier in each individual case.

Location

The workshop is at our partner company Schweisstechnik Scherrer AG, St. Gallerstrasse 49, 9100 Herisau AR. Please bring equipment only by prior arrangement. Delivery and collection within Switzerland and Liechtenstein are by agreement.
