Calibration and electrical safety are different checks
Calibration does not replace an electrical safety inspection. The German term “UVV-Prüfung” refers here to the welding equipment’s electrical safety inspection, not certification of your business.
What we measure
During calibration, we compare the equipment display with a reference measurement. We check welding current and voltage and also wire feed speed on equipment with a wire feeder. Measurements cover the range in which you use the equipment.
We document the deviations. Where values fall outside the permitted range, the equipment is adjusted if its design allows, then measured again.
Account for your production requirements
The values and evidence needed depend on your application and internal quality requirements. State requirements from your welding procedure specification (WPS), production control or customer when enquiring.
Agree documentation in advance
We agree the measurements and report with you. We are not an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration laboratory. If you require accredited evidence, clarify this before placing an order.
When to arrange another inspection
A fixed annual interval is not suitable for every application. Equipment documentation, operating conditions and internal requirements determine the schedule. After a repair, the necessary checks are defined for the work performed and the equipment.
