What the PlasmaFix 50 S is designed for
PlasmaFix 50 S is a microplasma power source for precision work: from 0.05 A it welds 0.01 mm foil, wire mesh and small fittings, using smooth or pulsed current from 1 Hz to 10 kHz. As with other microplasma systems, the arc is constricted in a water-cooled nozzle, remaining stable at very low currents while introducing little heat into the workpiece.
Refurbished and inspected in Herisau
The system was fully overhauled at the Herisau workshop; the water cooling system, including pump and hoses, was replaced. It is inspected before handover and demonstrated during viewing. Advice comes from the technician who refurbished it. The written quotation specifies the warranty period, based on our terms and conditions.

What is microplasma welding?
A form of plasma welding for very thin materials. The arc is constricted in a cooled nozzle and remains stable from approximately 0.1 A. Heat input is low, helping limit workpiece distortion.
Which tasks suit PlasmaFix 50 S?
Precision work from 0.05 A: 0.01 mm foil, wire mesh, small fittings and precision parts. The process is unsuitable for aluminium.
